The chiropractic profession recognized the benefits of
animal chiropractic long ago. In fact, the very first chiropractic school had an animal infirmary on campus. Though the anatomy of the spine differs slightly between species, the basic mechanics and philosophy are the same. So, any animal with a spine could be a candidate for chiropractic care. Today, there are post doctoral programs specifically designed to teach animal chiropractic. Ask if your practitioner if they have completed this additional training.
